News Farm students start their own business
The certificate ceremony for our 15 young farm students took place at the end of March. During the annual training course at the URBIS farm CPIA, they learnt sound agricultural techniques that will help them to successfully set up their own farm. The UFT team remains in contact after the end of the training programme to see how the trainees are doing with their self-employment (see success stories). The graduates also receive financial start-up support. The nine best graduates receive a particularly high level of funding to set up their business. The next cohort is now starting again with 18 young people.
We are pleased to have been able to offer this training programme in Togo for several years now and thus make a small contribution to the expansion of the agricultural sector.
