News Trip to our team in Togo

UFT team with Cornelia, Katharina and workshop trainer Anastasie Koudoh (back on the left)

Last month, our project coordinators Cornelia Dix and Katharina Immel traveled to our subsidiary foundation URBIS FOUNDATION Togo (UFT). During their two weeks on site, they first visited our headquarters in Lomé, Togo's capital. There they met with our grantees, with our partners and institutions like the German Embassy and the GIZ. Then, they went to Sokodé, a city in the central region of Togo, where UFT's headquarters are located. As the focus of this year's trip was on strategic exchange with our team and partners, there was one big two-day workshop with the whole team and several smaller workshops in working groups. Especially in light of our twentieth anniversary last year, there was a lot of exciting exchange about the coming 20 years of URBIS. A highlight was, as always, the visit to our training farm CPIA. There, Cornelia and Katharina met the young trainees and the farm staff and toured the 34 hectare site.

During their stay, they also took the opportunity to visit our project for the establishment of agricultural production communities in Blitta, which is supported by the Bavarian State Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry.

It was a very exchanging and intensive time for the whole team and we are looking forward to tackle the many exciting topics and ideas together now.
