News First travel to Togo in 2017
As usually, the first travel to Togo in 2017 was very work-intense for all participants. We aim for a regular exchange and visits between Germany and Togo to enhance a common understanding and to support a strong connection between URBIS FOUNDATION Germany and URBIS FOUNDATION TOGO.
In this year, we have a long list of to-dos for the different sectors of URBIS FOUNDATION. For example, in the solar sector, we wish to intensify our awareness-raising measures for the benefits of renewable energies. For our sustainable farm, we are planning on building a new school to strengthen our vocational training. Moreover, we will continue to support students, health facilities and schools by supplying them with equipment and materials.
The journey ended on a very positive note and with a lot of enthusiasm on all sides, to quickly implement our new ideas and projects.

Uganda project trip
In February, our project coordinator Nina visited our long-standing partner organisation ACSET. (Action for Child Social and Economic Transformation). After years of working together, we were finally able to get to know each other in person. We are currently implementing a major project in the solar sector with the support of Engagement Global.

Visits to Togo in January
At the beginning of the year, Inge and Christian Epp travelled to Togo together with Matthias Schmidt. A few weeks later, our project coordinator Cornelia also travelled there.

Tailoring training successfully completed in Togo
As part of Urbis' social sector, we were able to enable six young women from disadvantaged families who have no access to school education to train as dressmakers. The training ended in September 2023 with the final examination.
